Elimination profile
An Elimination profile is the profile for a laboratory individual or other individual whose DNA could potentially contaminate a sample. MaSTR uses elimination profiles to calculate Likelihood Ratios against the mixture that is being analyzed and reports them if their results exceed set thresholds. An Elimination Profile file is a single text file that contains all the profiles of all the individuals whose DNA could potentially contaminate a sample. As with other Profile files, an Elimination Profile file must list the alleles for these specific individuals at the loci that are being tested. Optionally, the file can also include the signal (peak) height for each allele.
Example Profile file
An Elimination Profile file is a dynamic file - it is not stored in a true Elimination database. Instead, every time you must update the file (add a new profile to the file, or delete a profile from the file) for an analysis, you must reload the file for the affected analysis template. See To view and manage an analysis template.
