To edit an analysis template
No pre-loaded templates are supplied with MaSTR. Instead, you must add your own templates for your lab’s validation team. However, after you add your first analysis template to the MaSTR database, you can use this template as the basis for developing your lab’s other required templates. Because template information is saved with a DNA analysis job and you save an edited template with a unique name, you can edit an analysis template without impacting any jobs that were previously run with the template.
1. On the MaSTR main menu, click Templates.
The Analysis Template page opens.
2. On the Analysis Template page, click the name of the analysis template.
The Analysis Template Information page opens.
3. In the left section of the Analysis Template Information page, click Save As.
The Create Analysis Template page opens. All fields are pre-populated with the values for the selected template. The template name is appended with the world “Clone” in parenthesis in the Name field.
4. Leave the template name modified with the word “Clone,” or optionally, edit the template name.
