Managing your MaSTR Application Settings
MaSTR Application settings are one of four types: License, Worker Count, Timeout Duration, or Report.
• Refresh License setting: When your organization purchases MaSTR, they must specify the number of network licenses for the installation, which determines the maximum number of users that can concurrently work in MaSTR. A Refresh License button on the Application Settings page reads the network license and sets the number of concurrent users. After you register MaSTR, you should click Refresh License to ensure that the number of concurrent users is correctly set. You should also click Refresh License if your organization increases or decreases the number of concurrent users for your MaSTR license. The number of days remaining until your MaSTR network license expires is displayed above the Refresh License option.
| There is no visible indication in MaSTR of the number of concurrent users that are allowed for your MaSTR network license. To verify this number, contact tech_support@softgenetics.com. |
• Worker Count setting: The value that is set for Worker Count determines the number of analyses that can be carried out concurrently in MaSTR. The default value is two. If you change this value, then you must restart the MaSTR Server service.
• Timeout Duration setting: The value that determines the number of minutes of inactivity in MaSTR after which a user login expires and the user is redirected to the MaSTR login page. If you change this value, then you must restart the MaSTR Server service.
• Report settings: The logo that is displayed on the first page of an Analysis report and the lab (company) name that is displayed in the footer (Created by <lab name>) on the first page of the report. By default, the logo is set to the SoftGenetics company logo and the lab name is set to SoftGenetics, LLC.
You use the Refresh License option to ensure that the correct number of users in your organization can work concurrently in MaSTR. You can customize the Worker Count setting, the Timeout Duration setting, and the Report setting to better reflect your organization and business requirements.
