To restore a deleted analysis component or analysis
For any analysis component or analysis for which a Delete request was carried out:
• If the action permanently deleted the component or analysis from the MaSTR database, then HardDelete is displayed in the Action column and the component or analysis name is displayed as a link in the Name column.
• If the action deleted the component or analysis only from the MaSTR UI and not from the MaSTR database (referred to as a Soft Delete), then Delete is displayed in the Action column and the component or analysis name is displayed as a link in the Name column.
Note the following about a component or analysis name that is displayed as a link in the Name column:
• If you click the name for a component or analysis for which a HardDelete is displayed, then a blank page opens as the component or analysis does not exist in the MaSTR database.
• If you click the name for a component or analysis for which a Delete is displayed, then the Restore process is started.
• If a component or analysis was restored to the MaSTR UI, then Undelete is displayed in the Action column.
• If multiple actions were carried out for a component or analysis (for example, Delete, Undelete, and then HardDelete) and HardDelete was the last action that was carried out for a component or analysis, then any link that you click for the component or analysis results in a blank page opening.
If a blank page opens after you click the name for a component or analysis, then to return to the Audit Log page, click the Back arrow on the browser navigation bar.
1. Open and log in to MaSTR.
2. On the User dropdown menu, click Audit Log.
The Audit Log page opens.
3. In the Name column, click the name of the analysis component or analysis that you are restoring.
Delete must be displayed for the component or analysis and a HardDelete action cannot be the last action that was carried out for the component or analysis.
A Restore message opens, stating that the resource that you are trying to access has been deleted and asking you if you want to restore it.
4. Click Restore.
The Restore message closes. The deleted analysis component or analysis is restored to the MaSTR database. The Information page for the deleted component or analysis opens to indicate that the restore was successful.
If you return to the Audit Log page, a new entry with an Undelete action is displayed for the component or analysis.
