To delete a completed analysis job
Two options are always available for deleting an analysis job:
Permanently Delete: Referred to as a “Hard” delete. Permanently removes the analysis from the MaSTR database. The component cannot be recovered.
Delete: Referred to as a “Soft” delete. Removes the analysis from the MaSTR UI, but not from the MaSTR database. An Admin user can use the Restore function that is available through the Audit trail to restore the deleted analysis to the MaSTR UI.
1. On the MaSTR main menu, click Analysis.
The Analysis page opens.
2. On the Analysis page, click the name of the completed DNA analysis.
The Analysis Information page opens.
3. In the left section of the Analysis Information page, click Delete.
The Delete Analysis page opens. Two options are always displayed. Permanently delete and (Soft) Delete.
4. Click the appropriate Delete option.
If you click Permanently Delete, then a message opens indicating that the deletion is permanent and asking you if you want to continue. After you click OK in the message, the message closes, and the analysis is permanently deleted from the MaSTR database – it cannot be recovered. The Delete Analysis page closes and you return to the System Parameters page. The parameters set is no longer listed as an entry on the page.
If you click Delete, then the analysis s deleted from the MaSTR UI but not from the MaSTR database. The Delete Analysis page closes and you return to the Analysis page. The analysis is no longer listed as an entry on the page. An Admin user can use the Restore function that is available through the Audit trail to restore the deleted analysis to the MaSTR UI.
